Target: Change to Price Match Policy Again!!

Here we go again, Target has changed their Price Match Policy Ah-gain! Yes, again. They made changes last week and now just a week later they are changing it once more. In a nut shell the change to their Low Price Promise Guarantee means Target coupons won't be allowed during price matching.

What it now says:

Target Coupons:

Target coupons will be applied before the price match is made. If the competitor price is still lower than the price after the Target coupon has been deducted, the ad match can be adjusted to match the competitor's price.

Combining both a Target and Manufacturer Coupons:

The Target coupon will be applied before the price match is made. If the competitor price is still lower than the price after the Target coupon has been deducted, the ad match can be adjusted to match the competitor's price. Once the price match is made the manufacturer coupon will be applied.

Target is really getting under my skin with this constant change. I mean rules and guidelines are fine, and I'm ok with that. It's the constant changing. It appears to me that Target doesn't really want to have a "Low Price Promise". So, by saying they have one and making it appear to be about bringing you the lowest price maybe you'll be satisfied with that and never really use it. Because I mean who would do that? Oh, right us frugalist! So, let's make it difficult for them after all they're not our "target" shoppers anyway. The truth is in this economy everyone's a frugalist is some way or form. So, jokes on them. Ok, I'm done and stepping off my soapbox. Whew, I feel better now. *wink

  1. And this is why Wal-Mart continues to profit more than them. They say they will "price-match" but with all of the stipulations they have, it is really no better than they were before.
